This blog series invited readers to join in a celebration of Julia Child’s contributions to American culinary history by following the trials and tribulations of museum staffers attempting to recreate her recipes. As editor of the museum’s blog, I recruited curators, educators, and other staff to honor Julia’s legacy by bringing her philosophy of teaching and learning to life. We—staff and readers alike—took to our kitchens, mustered the courage to try cooking something new, and discovered the pleasures of the table.
